DISCOVERY TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1: Welcome

Arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. Included transfer to hotel in Makati. Check in to hotel. Evening meet and greet with your hosts and fellow discovery travelers.

Day 2: Orientation, Acclimation, and Dinner

We will meet in the morning for a short orientation of what to expect during your Discovery Trip. You'll still be getting used to the time change, so you are free to nap or explore for most of the day. We'll meet for a group dinner (included) in the evening.

Day 3: Seminar and Night Tour

Today is a full-day seminar on Philippine life and culture. We'll discuss the cultural landscape, cultural differences between the US and Philippines, and how to navigate the local scene. We'll also talk extensively about Philippine women, dating, and relationships. Breakfast and lunch are included.

In the evening, we'll have a group dinner (included). After dinner, we'll head out on the town for a formal nightlife tour, with an optional bar hop.

Day 4: Day Tours

We'll spend the day touring the best areas for expats to live. We'll explore different housing options, getting around town as a local, and what to watch out for. When we return to the hotel, the rest of the evening is yours. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Optional evening activities will be available. We'll grab some dinner and then head out to a cigar lounge to have drinks and smokes.

Day 5: Seminar and Free Time

Today is another seminar day, where we'll discuss topics such as local services, visas, insurance, banking, and utilities. We'll also have an open discussion of your experience so far. No formal activities are scheduled, so you're free to explore on your own. Breakfast and lunch included.

Optional half day tours and evening activities are planned for those willing to join. Food trip, shopping, and sightseeing are among the outings.

Day 6-8: Provincial Tour Excursion

We hop in the van and head out to one of the nearby provinces. Many expats opt to live outside the city, so we'll take a couple of days to get a feel for what that life is like. We'll go out with local tour guides and also have plenty of free time. Hotel accommodations are included. Some meals included, details will be provided. We'll then return to Metro Manila for an overnight stay.

Day 9-12: Boracay Getaway

Dreaming of paradise? We'll head out to the #1 island destination in the world, Boracay, for a 4-day, 3-night getaway. Many expats are living the dream life in Boracay, so you'll be able to see if it's for you, too. We'll fly to Caticlan Airport and transfer to the hotel, all included. There will be a good mix of formal activities, tours, and free time. Detailed itinerary will be provided.

Day 13: Return to Manila - Farewell Dinner

Fly back to Manila. You'll have free time during the day. In the evening, we're hosting a farewell party to reflect on our adventures together and what lies ahead. We'll answer any final questions, and we'll toast the night away!

Day 14: Stay or Go

Depart Manila and return home.

There will also be options available for anyone who wishes to extend their stay. It's recommended that you do stay for at least a few more days, if not another week or two, to really get the full immersion experience. We would be happy to host your extension and provide guidance, or you may book your own accommodations and roam on your own.

MEET YOUR HOSTS

LEE & ROSALIE LAMBERT

The only person uniquely qualified to guide American expats through navigating Philippine life, culture, and dating. Lee Lambert was born in the Philippines, but moved to the United States at age 7. Having grown up in the Washington, DC area, he lived virtually his entire life as an American.

He married his high school sweetheart and raised three amazing children. But at age 41, after almost a decade of emotional abuse, Lee got divorced and relocated to the Philippines. Ironically, even though he returned to the country of his birth, he experienced culture shock as an American living abroad. Because of this experience, he's able to communicate and translate the cultural differences to Americans like no one else.

Damaged by his previous marriage, Lee learned how to become a man all over again. Through many trials and heartbreaks, he became a success in the dating world. He met Rosalie, a beautiful, loving Filipina from Manila, with whom he now shares his life.

Rosalie contributes her own perspective of being a native Filipina involved in a relationship with a "foreigner." Together, Lee and Rosalie can help you discover every aspect of living and dating in the Philippines, and avoid the pitfalls along the way.
